Stretch fabrics are mainly used in active wear, intimate apparel and of course fashion.
From leggings , dresses , undies and sportswear - stretch fabrics offer comfort and durability . Find out how to get professionial sewing results in the masterclass.

- how to use your sewing machine :
difference between stretch stitch settings versus straight stitches
- what stitch settings to use for elasticated fabrics /trims
- what type of stretch fabrics are available & what they are used for
- what type of stretch trims are available & what they are used for
- how to calculate stretch trims & how to attach to fabric in various ways
- how to use twin needles
Students will explore various sewing techniques that are used professionally when sewing with stretch materials. There will be hand outs and each student will create sewing samples to take home and use as reference for futute sewing projects.
Each student will have the chance to sew a hair scrunchie (using elastic and fabrics from the classroom)

This 5 hour session goes more into detail and allows student to bring their own stretch sewing projects along and get individual sewing advice for their projects.
(We recommend to get in touch before you booking to discuss what you like to make during this session)
